In food packaging, two main types of container closures are commonly used. The first type is the Continuous Thread (CT) closure, which features a Mason-style mechanism. Both the jar and the lid have a continuous, uninterrupted thread that wraps around the entire circumference of the opening, making it a "screw-on" design. The second type is the Lug closure, which uses a series of threads on the container and a corresponding number of lugs or tabs on the lid. These tabs grip the threads when twisted, resulting in a "twist-off" closure system.
